Various Updates

I know it has been awhile since the last update. So here we go. Ethan's birthday party at his gymnastics school was a huge success with 19 kids total! Everyone had lots of fun, I even think one of Ethan's friends will be starting gymnastic classes as well now. Big hits were jumping in the foam pit and free play on the sized down equipment. This year he wanted a tank cake, so I attempted to make one using foundant and coloring it. I ran out of time to really make a practice run - but it turned out okay. It was hard to top the crocodile cupcakes I made for daycare though.

This last month on one of the warmer days we also assembled a new yard toy we brought over winter. A trampoline! It is loads of fun, Ethan loves it too. It was a pain to assemble, but easier once you realize the text of the instructions is just wrong and the first picture is also wrong. Trust me, we tried to make it look like the picture and it just was not possible and if you assemble is how we did the rest of hte photos sit into place. In all it took about 3 hours to put together, but we have had loads of fun on it since.

We were not the only ones who got a new toy this spring either that Ethan adores! Grandma and Grandpa in Indiana got a tractor for the farm. Ethan surprised them one Sunday when we came down to give Grandpa his "tractor driving lessons" that Ethan offered him. We just had to go down since Ethan said Grandpa could pick the day of the lessons and he picked that day! I am not sure who enjoyed the tractor more, Robert or Ethan. It was hard to get either of them off it. I, on the other hand, enjoyed relaxing in the sun that they had. We do not get much of that here in Michigan.

With the warm weather coming and Ethan's head starting to look more mop-like, it was time again for a hair cut. This time he decided on a buzz like Dad's. And that he wanted to do it himself. So we let him, Mom and Dad did get to help out some but Ethan did a lot of it himself.
It also got warm enough one day that Ethan could try out his new knit coat that his Great Grandparents got him while they were in South America.

You've probably noticed Diego in the photos with Ethan. That is another fairly new development. Ethan has been paying more attention to Diego and vice versa. In fact, when kicked out of Mom and Dad's bed Diego now sleeps in Ethan's bottom bunk. Which he refers to as Diego's bed. One night they both slept there together. Of course it seemed both were afraid of kicking each other (which they both do well) so the each slept curled in one corner. It is quite cute.
This summer there will hopefully be more fun photos, we plan on camping a few time and hopefully getting to Wisconsin more often.
Also wish Robert luck. The last week of this month I am flying to Seoul to spend a week with Tanja in South Korea!!!! So Ethan and Robert will be on their own.
