December

This winter has been chilly to say the least, but at least there is plenty of snow to play in. Before Christmas we had enough snow on the deck to build our own sledding hill off the deck via the steps. Ethan had a blast going down it and seems to have conquered the fear of sledding solo he had last winter.
Since he wanted to go further into the yard Rob even made a hill up top to get more speed. Plus the snow mound also kept Diego on the deck just as well as the bench did. (We have not put a gate on these steps yet)

Christmas went well for us, and amazingly uneventful driving! No major delays or issues with weather. Ethan enjoyed playing with his cousins and see both sets of Grandparents. We all were plenty spoiled! Plus, I think we have a new Christmas time tradition of going to a water park hotel with Grandma and Grandpa Pavlik (this year Uncle Jeff, Aunt DeDe and Gregg and Mikey too). Nothing like a water park to really wear the kids (of all ages) out. We finally got the tree and most the inside decorations cleaned up last weekend - I know, we are slow. Ethan is already asking when we can put them back up again. So, we are diverting him with planning of his 5th birthday party. Which he is really excited about and has been wanting for almost 6 months now! Something about the age 5 and needing a party.

Ethan got his first hair cut at a salon yesterday. He got to pick a style out of the book. He did much better then I thought he would. He sat fairly still and even talked to the stylist, even flirted a little I think. The picture really does not show it too well, but it is fairly short around and longer ontop with spikes in the front. He is really excited about it, and luckily we have some hair goo left over from this summer's crazy hair day so he went to school spikey this morning too.

YEAH for Ethan. Those pics of sledding down the steps look like alot of fun. Too bad it is going to be close to 60 tomorrow. We have to go for a walk during lunch!!
